2024 SEASON

SEMI-FINALISTS

Even before the season started the BNZ Kahu were making news around the world ( including BBC and ESPN) with the announcement of a new ownership group. In a global first, the franchise became all-women, owned coached and managed. On the court, the BNZ Kāhu started the season strong but faced challenges with an injury to US import Megan Mullings and tribunal issues with star player Tahlia Tupaea. A home semi-final was secured after the regular season but the Tauranga Whai were too strong for a fading Kahu who went down 63-78.

Season highlights were winning the Rapid League and having the MVP in both the Tauihi League - I'Imari Thomas and the Rapid League in  Steph Barstow.

2023 SEASON

CHAMPIONS

Finishing one step better than the inaugural season the BNZ Kahu had a big campaign. They welcomed BNZ on board as naming rights sponsor and enjoyed a x run through the season.....The final was hosted in Wellington and they faced regular season leaders, and reigning champions, the Tokomanawa Queens. Against the odds the BNZ Kāhu prevailed to win 

2022 SEASON

FINALISTS

The inaugural season of the Tauihi Basketball League. The Northern Kahu were founded by owners Stephen Dill and North Harbour Basketball and led by the formidable head coach, Jody Cameron. They finished the regular season with an impressive. xxx In the X final they faced the Tokomanawa Queens and went down
