Elianna Tuaiti

The BNZ Kāhu are delighted to announce the signing of Elianna Tuaiti for the 2023 Tauihi Aotearoa season.

Tuaiti joins the Kāhu following impressive performances in 2022 when she helped the

Cook Islands national team claimed gold at the FIBA 2022 Polynesian Basketball Cup played in Kaitaia.

That came after another gold medal campaign with Tuaiti a key member of the Auckland Dream team that won the Women’s D League Tournament.

Dream head coach Darci Finnigan is in no doubt that the former Auckland Grammar School guard will make a strong impression in her rookie Kāhu season.

“I’m truly excited for her as she has worked super hard for this opportunity.

“She will be the hardest worker on the floor, always have a smile on her face and is a great teammate.

“Elianna has a great vision and feel for the game. Defensively she is one of the best at anticipating the offence and making life hard for the opposition.”

For her part Elianna is looking forward to the opportunity playing for the Kāhu presents.

“I’m very excited to join the Kāhu, playing with and against high level players is going to help me improve as a player.”
