Born: 17 October 1997 - Sydney, Australia

Albigail Curtin is a versatile guard/forward who most recently starred for the Sydney Comets in the 2025 NBL1 East season, leading the team with an impressive 23.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

Her NBL1 career has taken her across the country with stints at Kilsyth, Darwin, and Newcastle, and she also spent the 2023–24 season in the WNBL with the Sydney Flames.

Before returning home, Albigail played 60 games over three seasons at the University of Denver (NCAA Division I), where she developed her strong all-around game.

Born: 18 December 1989 – Elizabeth Vale, South Australia

Lauren Mansfield is an experienced guard who has built an impressive career over 11 WNBL seasons, making more than 200 appearances across teams including Adelaide Lightning, Canberra Capitals, South East Melbourne Stars, Perth Lynx, and most recently the Townsville Fire (2024–25).

A proud Australian representative, Lauren helped the Opals win silver at the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup and went on to compete on the Australian 3x3 team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Height: 175 cm


Born: 30 July 1997 - Hamilton, New Zealand


High School: Hamilton Girls’ High School

Azure Anderson is a versatile forward for the Northern Kāhu, having previously played for the Waikato Wizards (2015) and Harbour Breeze (2021).

She led Harbour Breeze to the inaugural Tupu League title in 2024, averaging 14.4 points per game and earning All-Star Five honours.

A member of the 3x3 Tall Ferns at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, Azure also starred for AUT at the 2022 Tertiary Nationals, scoring 28 points in the Grand Final win.

Her father Vinnie is a former Kiwi Rugby League international, and her brother Zion plays for the Franklin Bulls in the 2025 Sal’s NBL

Born: 24 August 1996 – New Zealand

High School: Rangiora High School

 

Tall Ferns (debut 2019)


Previous NBL Clubs: Mainland Pouākai (2022), Northern Kāhu (2024).

Mary Morton-Jones made her return to New Zealand basketball in 2024, playing three games for the Northern Kāhu - her first competitive action back home following a life-threatening car accident in 2023.

In 2025, she suited up for the Rockhampton Cyclones in NBL1 North, averaging 12.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

A proud Tall Fern, Mary has played 12 games for New Zealand since making her debut at the 2019 William Jones Cup.

Following her college career, she played professionally for IK Eos in the Swedish League (2019–20) and for the Bendigo Spirit in the Australian WNBL (2020–22).

Aliyah Matharu is beginning her rookie professional season in New Zealand after a standout five-year collegiate career in the United States.

She played at Mississippi State (2 years), the University of Texas (1 year), the University of Florida (1 year), and finished at Baylor University (2024–25).

At Baylor, she averaged 6.6 points per game while playing alongside Tall Fern Waiata Jennings. During her junior year at Texas, Aliyah made 77 three-pointers, ranking 16th in NCAA Division I that season, and scored a career-high 35 points while at Florida.

She also represented the USA, winning a silver medal at the 2019 World University Games in Italy.

Height: 188 cm

Born: 2 October 1998 - Westfield, Indiana, USA

High School: Westfield High School

Previous Tauihi Clubs: Mainland Pouākai (2024)

Haliegh Reinoehl is a powerful forward/centre who earned Tauihi Aotearoa All-Star Five honours in 2024, averaging 15.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game for the Mainland Pouākai.

She scored a season-high 22 points against the Southern Hoiho and twice collected 14 rebounds.

Haliegh has also been a key performer in NBL1 South, playing the past four seasons with the Mount Gambier Pioneers, where she averaged 19.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.

Before her Australian stint, she played professionally in Switzerland and Germany.

Height: 178 cm


Born: Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Jasmyne Roberts joins the New Zealand league for her rookie professional season after a stellar four-year collegiate career at the University of Miami, where she played 120 games.

She averaged 9.3 points per game during Miami’s 2023 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight run, and in her senior season (2024–25), averaged 9.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, finishing with 1,014 career points.

Off the court, Jasmyne graduated with a degree in Broadcasting and Journalism.

Highest Representative Honour: New Zealand U17 (2017)

Keeley Tini is a talented forward who played five games for the Northern Kāhu in 2023 and was part of the Harbour Breeze’s 2020 NBL Championship-winning team, averaging 8 points per game.

Basketball runs in the family - she is the youngest daughter of Kāhu head coach Jody Cameron and the sister of former Kāhu player Jaycin Tini.

Height: 190 cm


Born: 8 April 2004 – New Zealand


High School: Mount Maunganui College
 

Highest Representative Honour: New Zealand U17 National Team (2022)
Previous NBL Clubs: Mainland Pouākai (2024)

Vitolia Tuilave returns to the Northern Kāhu after being a Development Player in 2022. She played six games for Mainland Pouākai in 2024 and featured in all 12 Rapid League games, scoring a season-high 9 points against the Tokomanawa Queens.

In 2025, she joined the Launceston Tornadoes in NBL1 South, averaging 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game alongside teammate Bailey Flavell.

Vitolia represented New Zealand at the 2022 FIBA U18 Asian Championship in India and was named to the Tournament Team at the 2022 U19 National Championships.x

High School: Westfield Sports High School / St Mary’s Senior High School
Highest Representative Honour: Tall Ferns (debut 2023)
Previous NBL Clubs: Northern Kāhu (2022–24)

Tahlia Tupaea is the only player to have represented the Northern Kāhu in all four Tauihi seasons, tallying 502 points and 100 assists in 30 games, and was named MVP of the inaugural 2022 season.

After the 2024 Tauihi season, she played 13 WNBL games for the Sydney Flames under coach Guy Molloy.

A WNBL debutant at just 15, Tahlia went on to win a league title with the Sydney Uni Flames and has now played 153 WNBL games. She also played for the Inner West Bulls in NBL1 East (2025) and was a 2017 WNBA Draft pick (36th overall) by the Minnesota Lynx.

The pride of BNZ Kāhu, Kahurangi brings the energy every game - dancing, cheering, and spreading good vibes. Known for her dazzling feathers and even bigger personality, she’s the ultimate hype bird for our whānau! 


Rumour has it, she’s got a special friendship with Cheeky the Kea from the Breakers - just two birds of a feather who love a good game day.
