Bailey Flavell

 

Takapuna Grammar School and North Harbour guard Bailey Flavell joins the BNZ Kāhu for the 2023 Tauihi season.

 

Having spent some years in Melbourne, with dad Judd Flavell coaching at South East Melbourne Phoenix, Bailey has made quite an impact since returning to Auckland early last year.

 

She averaged 12.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the New Zealand team that won silver at the FIBA U15 Oceania Championship last year.

 

Also in 2022 she was named to the Tournament Team at the 2022 U15 National Championships, scoring 23 points for North Harbour in their Grand Final win against Waikato.

 

Last month Bailey named to the Tournament Team at the 2023 U19 National Championships where she averaged 22.2 points per game for North Hartbour.

 

Most recently she has been selected for the New Zealand team to attend the 2023 FIBA U16 Asia Cup in Jordan.

 

16 year-old Bailey will play in Tauihi ’23 as an amateur to preserve her American collegiate eligibility.
