GO MEDIA JOIN THE KĀHU AS FOUNDATION PARTNER

The Northern Kāhu are delighted to announce a foundation partner in Go Media.

With the Kāhu overseas based players arriving this week, ahead of pre-season games against the Mid-North Whai on Saturday and Sunday, the announcement of Go Media as a major partner is most timely.

It adds another layer of excitement and expectancy to the upcoming Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa season and Northern Kāhu General Manager Matt Lacey couldn’t be more thrilled.

“We are delighted to welcome Go Media to the Kāhu as one of our foundation partners ahead of the 2022 Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa season.”

In announcing the partnership for the 2022 season, Managing Director of Go Media Mike Gray emphasized the importance of supporting female athletes.

“We at Go Media are a major advocate for women in sport and we are thrilled to partner with the Northern Kāhu to support the team’s inaugural campaign. We align with the Kaupapa and understand the importance of ensuring our wahine athletes are recognized and promoted.”

“Mike and his team at Go Media have been unbelievably supportive of basketball over the years and we can’t wait to build on the work they have been doing in promoting the game across the country,” added Lacey.

“As a new franchise, in a brand new league, we are looking forward to connecting with new fans across Auckland and Northland. Go Media will be invaluable in helping us achieve this throughout our campaign.”

The Kāhu face a frantic start to the season. They will play their first game on July 3rd in Dunedin against the Hoiho before returning home the next night to host the Queens at Franklin Pool & Leisure Centre.
